A Decentralized Exchange Aggregator (DEX), 1inch, that <a href="https://blog.1inch.io/the-1inch-network-expands-to-optimistic-ethereum-2beb89fa63bf?source=collection_home---4------0-----------------------" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">springs</a> liquidity from various exchanges has recently expanded to Optimism, a Layer-2 scaling solution of Ethereum. This expansion is done in order to lower gas fees and increase throughput or dealings per second for users.

Talking in particular, Optimism Etheruem will have the potential of around 2,000 TPS when an optimized production version of its network is introduced.

Anton Bukov, the Co-founder of 1inch, said that the throughput of Ethereum is limited to 0.6 TPS at present, the limitation is to avoid capable risks and failures during the alpha stage of development. Bukov laid an emphasis on the reduced gas fees and said:

In addition to this, he mentioned the fact that there should be savings of around 2x-10x compared to Ethereum.

With the recent announcement of the deployment of 1inch on the Optimism Ethereum mainnet, Sergej Kunz, the co-founder of the 1inch Network stated that:
<blockquote> “The 1inch launch on Optimistic will facilitate a dramatic increase in transaction speed."</blockquote>
The OE Network at the time of launch will only be able to handle 0.6 transactions per second.

However, the team expects to gradually increase transaction speeds after testing and optimizing the infrastructure.
