Movie theatres chain AMC Theatres recently announced that its mobile app now supports Shiba Inu (SHIB), Dogecoin (DOGE), and other cryptocurrencies for online payments.
<h2 class="content-heading"><strong>AMC Mobile App Now Accepts SHIB, DOGE</strong></h2>
In a Twitter post, Adam Aron, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AMC Theatres, confirmed that its mobile app is now accepting Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB).

In the announcement, Aron disclosed that the company's iOS and Android mobile app could accept crypto payments via integration with BitPay, a crypto payment service provider.

AMC Theatres first started accepting crypto payments back in November last year which allowed customers to purchase movie tickets online using Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Litecoin (LTC).

Gradually, that list expanded to include plans for Dogecoin and Shiba Inu. The theatre chain began accepting Dogecoin for payments solely for gift cards in October.

AMC has also launched its own NFT collectibles via the WAX blockchain in tandem with Spider-Man: No Way Home as a reward for AMC shareholders. The company also released The Batman NFTs via Palm, a sidechain scaling solution for Ethereum as well.
