Given the growing faith that bitcoin is in an accumulation phase before experiencing a robust price surge, the so-called digital gold has been attracting a lot of attention even from the non-crypto people who are chipping in to buy some bitcoin. Experts have reportedly seen a new wave of organic interest in bitcoin and consider it the biggest in the last three years.

Ari Paul, the CIO of Blocktower Capital, shared his thoughts recently regarding the rise in popularity of bitcoin in non-crypto circles. He holds the current surge in the same bracket as the one bitcoin experienced in 2017 when the price touched the $20,000 mark.

<h2>Ari Paul Not Alone in Noticing the Organic Interest</h2>
Responding to the tweet by Ari Paul, the CEO of Blockstream Adam Back, added more substance to Paul's claim by stating that he alone has helped new customers buy bitcoin in excess of $1 million in the last two weeks.

Trader, 'the cryptocurrencies dog's is noticing a similar pattern and said there's a lot of interest from people who have stayed away from bitcoin so far. He also notes that large exchanges particularly, like Binance and Coinbase are witnessing a meteoric rise in retail investors flocking to their platform to buy bitcoin.

Stressing further on it, Adam Back added that the new investors have invested for the long term and cold storage. He says that massive price drop, coupled with favourable conditions and believe that bitcoin would work as an unfortunate hedge in Thu current circumstances led to such massive stocking up of bitcoin.

The director of Policy at Australian's Taxpayers' Alliance shared her excitement on twitter and thanked the bitcoin community after buying a share of bitcoin for the first time.
