In a Twitter thread, posted Sunday, Noah Davis announced that he would be joining the company behind the Bored Ape Yacht NFT collection, Yuga Labs as brand leader for its recently-acquired collection CryptoPunks.

At Christie's, Davis was responsible for bringing Beeple’s piece 'The First 5,000 Days' to auction. At the time in March 2021, the sale made headlines for its $69 million price tag, a figure which put <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/beeple-twitters-account-hack-phishing-scams-still-on-rise/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Beeple</a> “among the top three most valuable living artists.”

The announcement of the hire comes amid a rapid rise in the CryptoPunks collection's floor price and trading volume. According to recent data, CryptoPunks' sales volume had hit $10.4 million in the last 24 hours, a whopping 230% increase from yesterday.
