The Lebanese pound keeps plummeting and has left the people of the country agitated, but they found time for some Brouhaha.

The coffin dance meme has been making the rounds for a couple of months now in which few men in tux are seen carrying a coffin on their shoulders, dancing to a catchy EDM tune. The meme metaphorically suggests to take joy in death and the Lebanese people decided to take matters into their own hands and celebrated the death of the Lebanese pound by carrying the coffin on their shoulders with the local currency stamped on it.

Before this meme was recreated and people's faith in humour was restored,  the situation in the country was pretty catastrophic as the banks were constantly targeted. The banks have put some restrictions on the amount of withdrawal as it was done to fuel the protest and the enraged people of the company decided to attack and even burned a bank down. The value of the Lebanese pound has come spiralling down by over 60% in the last few months.

The crisis has aggravated the situation so much that even the scare of the coronavirus has left people unmoved. The protests took a little pause but people were again back on the streets as clearly they are more frightened and frustrated by the falling economy than <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/bitcoin-halving-is-near-but-since-covid-19-few-care-why/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Covid-19</a>.

The fall of the Lebanese pound could pave the way for an alternative rising from the ashes in the form of bitcoin. The king coin while would not necessarily solve this predicament totally on its own, but people would find some solace perhaps in the fact that a solid alternative is available as their faith in the Lebanese lies completely shattered and irrevocable.

However, with all the chaos surrounding the country, the coffin meme encore was another solid proof that comes what may, the internet stands undefeated.
