OKEx, a leading cryptocurrency and derivatives exchange, has recently announced that they are listing FLOW. It is the native asset of the blockchain with the same name and a decentralized blockchain platform created for gaming.

OKEx Announces Listing of FLOW

FLOW is already home to NBA Top Shot, an NFT making mainstream headlines and OKEx is now included in the first exchanges in the world to offer to trade in FLOW. It has launched today along with three trading pairs.

The FLOW blockchain is developed by the creators of already successful digital collectibles, CryptoKitties, and DApp. It provides the foundation for a brand-new generation of games including NBA Top Shot, digital assets, and dApps.

NBA Top Shot, officially licensed by the National Basketball Association has already reached more than $45 million in sales over the last 24 hours. Moment, a 13-second video of Zion Williamson, the star player, was sold for $100,000 last week.

The Smart contracts on the blockchain protocol are written in the Cadence programming language, which is widely used and powers apps that can serve millions of people.

Jay Hao, the CEO of OKEx, commented on the listing of FLOW today. He said:

“It’s extremely exciting to see so much innovation in the NFT field and real progress being made to allow decentralized applications to scale to accommodate mainstream use. We are also proud to add that as one of the first exchanges to offer FLOW trading, we continue to strive to ensure a rewarding and enjoyable experience for our users.”

In addition to this, the CEO added:

“Flow is already proving to be a fast and secure platform for developers to create a whole host of games, digital assets, and consumer applications, and will undoubtedly play a large role in taking NFTs – and crypto – to the mainstream, as we’re already seeing with NBA Top Shot.”

Spot Trading of The Blockchain Platform

The spot trading of the blockchain platform FLOW will be going live at 5:00 pm UTC on February 23, along with the opening of trading against BTC and ETH, one hour later.

However, the deposits of FLOW were made available from 3:00 am UTC today, and the withdrawals will be starting at 10:00 am UTC on February 24, 2021.
