Van de Poppe anticipates the positive impact of the Dencun upgrade, set to hit Ethereum's main network on February 8. The upgrade introduces proto-danksharding, enhancing scalability and reducing transaction costs, particularly benefiting layer 2 blockchains.
<h2>Spot ETH ETFs Possibility</h2>
The analyst highlights the potential approval of spot <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/unlocking-the-future-ethereum-etf-anticipation-grows/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ethereum ETFs</a> this year. With expectations that the U.S. SEC may classify ether as a commodity by May, spot-based ETF applications could get approval, similar to the recent greenlight for spot Bitcoin ETFs in January.
<h2>Bitcoin Profit Rotation</h2>
Van de Poppe also factors in the rotation of profits from Bitcoin to Ethereum after Bitcoin's halving in April. Historically, Bitcoin's price has surged post-halving, and the analyst suggests that Ethereum may witness a similar trend.

Van de Poppe shares a bullish chart indicating Ethereum's potential to turn the $2,336 zone into a support level. Currently trading at $2,312, ETH has seen a 2.1% increase in the past week.
