Luyao Liu, the CFO of Bitmain was arrested for his involvement in a mob attack on Micree Zhan, the co-founder who received the boot from the company in 2019. The event took place in Beijing and it turned violent enough for the police to take Liu away from the area.  Micree Zhan has been involved in s battle of power with the other co-pays founder of Bitmain, Jihan Wu, who showed him the door seven months ago in October.

Zhan has been trying to win back what he has lost and according to reports he was in Beijing to receive his business license from Bitmain Beijing, where he was attacked.

a commentator also added a small clip of the incident in which it can be seen clearly that an altercation is happening between a bunch of men. Liu was reportedly arrested with a couple of hours since the incident and this Bitmain brawl was trending in Chinese Weibo at 21st spot.

<h2>Bitmain Issues a Public Statement to Clear Some Confusion</h2>
The company has come out and categorically <a href="https://mp.weixin.qq.com/s/Hkgjfa_ZPH8Vh6X9zGmZIQ" target="_blank" rel="noopener">denied </a>the involvement of the former CEO in the company in any way ever since he was ousted in 2019 and got his contract terminated on 28th October. The company also has clearly stated that it is Liu who was and continues to be the <a href="https://www.qixin.com/company/e4d3a529-cddb-44b0-8bf1-cc2813ee8dc8?key=%E5%8C%97%E4%BA%AC%E6%AF%94%E7%89%B9%E5%A4%A7%E9%99%86%E7%A7%91%E6%8A%80%E6%9C%89%E9%99%90%E5%85%AC%E5%8F%B8" target="_blank" rel="noopener">legal representative</a> of Bitmain Beijing. However, bizarrely, on the website, it is Zhan who has his name on the list, but the company claims it to be nothing but a glitch that they will fix.

The battle between Zhan and Wu turned too ugly in October 2019, when not only did Wu kicked him out but also stopped the staff from engaging with him in any way. Zhan, however, reaffirmed that it was a decision without his consent and he'd continue to fight and it looks like he is no mood to give up anytime soon.
