India's e-commerce giant Flipkart <a href="https://www.livemint.com/companies/news/flipkart-ventures-into-nfts-with-nothing-s-airdrop-11657789692549.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">announced</a> that it would allow buyers of Nothing Phone 1 to acquire the limited edition non-fungible tokens (NFTs) via the Firedrops feature on its shopping app.
<h2>Free NFTs For Nothing Phone Buyers</h2>
The e-commerce company Flipkart has partnered with London-based mobile startup Nothing with <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/uk-court-gives-permission-to-sue-someone-on-blockchain-via-nfts/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NFT</a> airdrop. Under the partnership, customers of Flipkart who pre-booked a Nothing phone between July 12 to 18 would be airdropped an NFT from the Nothing Community Dots.

Holders from the NFT collection will be able to unlock special perks, including early access to new products and offline events. The Community Dots is hosted on Polygon Web3 infrastructure. The NFT Airdrop on FireDrops, powered by GuardianLink, is an NFT ecosystem company enabling brands and artists to launch NFTs.

Commenting on the development, Jeyandran Venugopal, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Flipkart, said:

The NFTs can be redeemed via the Firedrops feature in the Flipkart mobile app. Firedrops is Flipkart's foray into <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/blockchain-platform-celo-launches-web3-fund-for-african-startups/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Web3</a> and NFT ecosystem.

Earlier, with the launch of Flipkart Labs, the company announced its intention to explore NFT-related use cases to redefine the shopping experience of its users and incubate solutions at the intersection of technology and e-commerce. With FireDrops, Flipkart wants to bring NFTs and Web3 to a wider audience.
