Joe Lubin, the founder of Consensys in a recent interview has stated his desire to get back to selling a lot of tokens like in 2015 when he co-founded Ether. In the program called *into the ether* at the <a href="https://www.etherealsummit.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">virtual summit</a> held by Ethereum, he told the hosts the intention to get back to selling coins in a way they're legal and also discussed the development of Consensys over the year.

The interviewers Anthony Sassano and Eric Conner quizzed him regarding the slowdown of coin offering by Consensys ever since the regulations entered the scene in 2018, Joe Lubin admitted that earlier it was a method used by them to fund their projects but now he wants to restart it with a tweak.
<h2>Joe Lubin Believes SEC Regulations Are Not as Scary as Some Perceive</h2>
He believes that more than a token it is now about how it is marketed and that with a little heed to SEC demands and guidelines, for instance, proving to the buyers about your utility token and not just selling it off based on speculations can help in launching a token cleanly.

Back in the day when Ethereum was launched, the regulatory bodies didn't have much to do with it but now they've tightened their grip on such matters and that's why ConsenSys to launch tokens has built a Codefi Activate platform.

Joe Lubin also threw lights on why the company decided to layoff 14% of the stuff to which he responded they didn't have much of a choice given the economical climate pertaining right now. The move was essential to cut back on losses and also added that the company now is more efficient than ever.

According to him, tokens would be a major part of the government plans in the future and he also admitted he is a fan of <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/best-defi-apps-in-2020/">DeFi apps</a>.
