As the virus is spreading like wildfire, so is the rumours around it. There's a heck lot of misinformation, miscommunication regarding it. The misleading numbers could be a travesty in the current situation, as it could impact government policies, and individual plannings to counter the coronavirus. Hysteria and being an ignoramus is equally worrisome in the current pandemic.
Gari Singh, the CTO at IMB, highlighted the reason behind using blockchain to build Mipasa. He stated that this wasn't a forceful move and they weren't hell-bent on including blockchain. However, this was done to help in replicating data, and that the trusted sources they currently possess aren't manipulated.
The right number of fatalities, the number of cases, correct representations of data regarding coronavirus would be done through Mipasa which would help in government in dealing with the catastrophe better and help them prepare even for a more potential outbreak, by detecting Coronavirus carriers early and infection spots too.
