Polygon (MATIC) recently revealed that it is going to <a href="https://blog.polygon.technology/polygon-ecosystem-dao-415df593c9b8" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">create</a> a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), for all of its community members as well as projects in Defi (Decentralized Finance). The firm made an announcement on Thursday to call on its members in order to express their views on the platform creating a DAO.

The platform released a statement addressing the growth in the Polygon (MATIC) ecosystem and said:
<blockquote>“As the Polygon ecosystem grows, the committee members have a front-seat opportunity over others to increase cross-collaboration for their products.”</blockquote>
In accordance with the data shared officially by Polygon, the firm plans to create committees to promote discussion between projects that include Sushi Aave, and QuickSwap to bring <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/polygon-launches-150-million-fund-to-boost-defi-adoption/">Defi </a>to the next million users.

As per the project description, it discusses the opportunity that the members of the community has while the ecosystem of Polygon continues to grow, it said:
<blockquote>“As the Polygon ecosystem grows, the committee members have a front-seat opportunity over others to increase cross-collaboration for their products. Voting for elections of new members could be implemented in multiple ways like by using staked MATIC on PoS or via the DAO token holders.”</blockquote>
In addition to this, Polygon said DAO has the potential to offer a solution to scale projects on the SDKs along with including anyone building tooling, projects, and integrations on layer-two rollups.
<h2>MATIC's Recent Amalgamation with Hermez Network </h2>
Moreover, it should be noted that this announcement from the firm has come officially less than a week after Polygon (MATIC) released a statement saying that it would be merging Hermez Network into its ecosystem for $250 million.
