Stone Ridge, the asset management firm that owns Bitcoin company NYDIG, <a href="https://twitter.com/kbbrewster/status/1585275091251859459?">announced</a> the launch of its first startup accelerator that focuses on the Bitcoin (BTC) <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/lightning-network-rival-and-bitcoin-scaling-solution-softnotes-starts-community-presale">Lightning Network</a> and <a href="http://cryptoknowmics.com/news/lightning-labs-announces-alpha-release-of-taro-daemonTaro">Taro</a> protocol, called "In Wolf's Clothing" (Wolf). The accelerator comprises 8-week programs that bring the top company founders and groups from all over the world to New York City while covering their lodging and travel expenses.
<h2>Access to Different Experts and Mentors</h2>
Teams that qualify for the program will get a $250,000 guaranteed investment. Each program will conclude with a showcase day when one team is selected by a jury of experts to win an additional $500,000 in funding.

The programs will run four times a year. According to Kelly Brewster, CEO of Wolf, the program also offers access to different specialists and one-on-one mentoring relationships.

Lightning Labs, a Bitcoin software company, created the Taro protocol, a Taproot-powered protocol that enables the transfer of assets created on the Bitcoin blockchain to the Bitcoin Lightning Network.

Taro, in other words, enables the Lightning network to develop into a multi-asset network with Bitcoin as its central component.
<h2>Lightning Network Shown Steady Acceptance</h2>
According to Mohamed Fouda, a venture partner at Volt Capital, the Lightning Network has so far shown steady acceptance but has also encountered several obstacles that have forced it to reevaluate which business possibilities and trajectories have the greatest potential for long-term growth.

Liquidity hubs to collect routing fees, user services, integrations to broaden the usage of the Network, and payment rails that leverage it as the underlying infrastructure are some potential applications that might emerge from this incubator.
