Corporate wellbeing: are we making progress, or have we simply increased hype, activity and corporate spend?
The annual cost of an unwell workforce has been estimated to $650bn in Europe. Comparing this to the estimated corporate wellbeing spend of $17bn, the potential upside is phenomenal.
At the same time, 72% of all workplace wellbeing initiatives remain unused, which translates into roughly $12bn being wasted every year in Europe alone.
There is now plenty of evidence that illustrates that corporate wellbeing initiatives can have real tangible impact and produce a strong return on investment, but only if targeted and designed correctly.
We will address three main questions in the session:
- Is wellbeing as a strategic driver making progress within organisations?
- Are companies measuring the impact and return of their programs and efforts?
- Are the efforts and investments having real, tangible impact?
